I didn't give it 2 stars but you have to touch the link to access the service. Why is the visitor information centre closed on Sundays? Surely this is the day when most visitors come to Morecambe. Then there is the problem of the drunk and homeless roaming the streets and shouting through the night when you want to sleep. Also the rowdy teenagers riding to fast along the footpaths and through the pedestrian areas. Maybe 2 stars is right after all.
Visiting Morecambe, then don't miss out on some of the best on offer. The centre highlights the many attractions a short to medium walk up and down the Prom that made the area so popular in the past. Prepared for a short drive away and you gain access to beautiful gardens, parks, beaches, woods, castle, pubs, restaurants and activities.
We recently had a day visit to Morcambe, whilst on holiday in the Lake District, what a mistake , Eric would turn in his grave if he could see the town,empty shops scruffy streets some of the side streets looked like something from a third world country.We couldnt find any public toilets and ended up going to Morrisons to use their facilities as were many other people. I think this must be the worst seaside place in England and on this showing won't attract many summer visitors. There is a lovely modern hotel on the front i cannot understand anyone wanting to stay there in this town.
